The quick answer: dates and the best move

In short

Black Friday 2026: Friday, November 27, 2026.

Cyber Monday 2026: Monday, November 30, 2026.

Promo code: BLOG10 gives 10% off the entire Gustave Montclair catalog (glasses, decanters, gift sets, cocktail kits), valid throughout the period and beyond.

Smart move: for Christmas gifts, buy in late November rather than mid-December — you get the discount while still leaving enough time for shipping (7 to 15 business days) to arrive well before the holidays.

Black Friday isn't just an electronics or fashion event anymore: for many households, it has become the real starting gun for Christmas shopping. For tableware — glasses, decanters, gift sets — this is especially true, since these are products people rarely buy in a rush but happily plan ahead as soon as a discount is available.

This guide first answers the question asked most every year at this time: exactly when does Black Friday fall, and how to organize your shopping so you're not scrambling the last week before Christmas. The rest of the article covers how to smartly allocate your budget depending on the type of piece you're after.

When is Black Friday 2026

Black Friday traditionally falls the day after Thanksgiving, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. In 2026, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, which places Black Friday on Friday, November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday, which traditionally follows on the first Monday after the Black Friday weekend, falls on Monday, November 30, 2026.

Good to know: contrary to popular belief, Black Friday isn't a fixed calendar date (like December 25) — it shifts every year based on the Thanksgiving calendar, falling somewhere between November 23 and 29.

Many e-commerce sites, ours included, extend Black Friday benefits over a full week rather than a single day: this avoids site overload on the day itself and gives shoppers more time to compare pieces before ordering.

Why it's the right time for your Christmas gifts

Three concrete reasons explain why late November is the most cost-effective time to prepare Christmas gifts around wine, whisky, or cocktails:

Shipping time: allowing 7 to 15 business days after dispatch means an order placed in late November arrives comfortably before Christmas, unlike a mid-December purchase that cuts it close.
The discount stacks: the BLOG10 code (10% off) stays active throughout the period, with no strict deadline unlike some one-day flash deals.
The full range is still available: at this time, the entire catalog is in stock, unlike early December when some high-demand items can temporarily sell out.

Where to focus your budget during Black Friday

A 10% discount benefits higher-budget purchases proportionally more: on a €20 item, it's €2; on a €200 piece, it's €20. That's why Black Friday is the most logical time for the following purchases:

Royal Crystal Whisky Set€199.90

Best value in absolute terms

A complete set (decanter + matching glasses): at this budget level, a 10% discount means around twenty euros saved in one go.

Ondaria Bottle Holder€189.90

A collector's piece

A design storage piece at a substantial budget — exactly the kind of purchase people put off "until the next sale," and Black Friday is precisely that occasion.

Prestige Sommelier Gift Set€59.90

All-in-one gift

A complete set for the wine lover, at a budget that's reasonable even without a discount, but where every euro saved matters for a group or corporate gift.

Elixir II Whisky Decanter€69.90

Best-seller

One of the most requested items in the decanter collection — a safe choice to avoid running into stock shortages in December.
